Richard Manson, the firm's founder, was instrumental in the economical advancement of African-Americans in Tennessee as this law firm was one of the only firms willing to close real estate deals for African-American families in the Tennessee area following the ratification of the Federal Housing Act of 1984, when majority of white-owned firms refused to do so.
